Me: Well, the pharmacy was all sold out of the meds you need so I got you the generic version. Hope you feel better.
Veruca: yeah...yeah...thanks.
Me: Seems everyone is coming down with the flu lately. The medicine aisle was packed today.
Hopefully, the soup and tea I've made will help for now...
Veruca: Actually they are helping...
Me: Huh? Did you say they're helping?
Veruca: Ugh...seriously?
Me: Awww Veruca. So nice to know...
Veruca: Alright, alright. Yes. Thank you.
Me: Awww how sweet!
Veruca: Alright, never mind...
